ProgeSOFT.US Pledges ProgeCAD Software for Hurricane Relief

Portland, OR, USA – November 22, 2005

ProgeSOFT.US (www.progesoft.us), in cooperation with ProgeSOFT sas, Como, Italy, is coordinating the donation of ProgeCAD 2006 Professional CAD software applications for the rebuilding of hurricane stricken areas in the United States.

Hurricane Katrina has caused some 25 billion dollars in damage, and Wilma, over 10 billion dollars, and these estimates are sure to rise. The widespread destruction in the affected areas has caused a need for CAD design software to help rebuild the infrastructure.

ProgeCAD 2006 Professional, the latest IntelliCAD software from ProgeSOFT, includes a library manager for discipline specific symbols, ACIS solid modeling, raster image support, rendering, and a unique set of tools that only ProgeSOFT offers. ProgeCAD software supports the DWG design file format, from version 2.6 through 2006, plus support for AutoCAD® menus, scripts, blocks, and AutoLISP®.

“Though the immediate need for assistance has past, the rebuilding of the affected areas will continue for the foreseeable future. To help with that effort, we felt ProgeCAD software would be extremely relevant. Builders and architects in the affected areas can use the software to design their new infrastructure while rebuilding their businesses.” said Scott Hucke, President, ProgeSOFT.US.

Victims of both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Wilma may apply for free copies of ProgeCAD 2006 Professional through our website at www.progesoft.us.
